Chery’s Sales in November Set a New Historical “Coordinate”
Recently, Chery Group released the latest sales data. In November this year, Chery Automobile achieved another great success in sales at the end of the year. Despite the “chip shortage”restricting production capacity, its sales volume still reached 110,281 units, up 24.8% from the previous month and 8.2% from the same period last year. A total of 849,912 cars were sold, up 38.3% from the same period last year.
In terms of export, Chery Automobile’s sales volume reached 24,942 units in November, up 85.5% from the same period last year, which broke through the monthly export mark of 20,000 vehicles for the seventh time this year. From January to November, a total of 237,901 units were exported, up 137.6% from the same period last year, setting a new historical “coordinate” of sales in the same period, and the annual export is expected to exceed 250,000 units.
Chery’s ability to “go up against the trend” in the cold winter of the automobile market is mainly due to its continuous efforts to face the global market by taking technology as a “passport” and quality as a “stepping stone”. Meanwhile, this has also accelerated the pace at which the Chery brand is “going up”.
In Brazil, according to data released by Fenabrave (National Motor Vehicle Distribution Federation), Chery ranked among the top ten in automobile sales for seven consecutive months with a sales volume of 3,683 units in November. From January to November, a total of 36,048 units were sold, with a market share of 2.03%. In the SUV market segment, Tiggo 5X (Tiggo 4 Pro), Tiggo 3X (Tiggo 2 Pro), Tiggo 8 and other models continue to sell well. Since its marketing in Brazil in October this year, Arizzo 6 Pro has won two industry authoritative awards in Brazil in less than two months. At the end of November, Chery Arrizo 6 Pro was awarded the “Best Medium Passenger Car” in the 7th Carsughi L’Auto Preferita competition in Brazil. In December, Arrizo6 Pro won the “1.2-1.6L Best Car” award in the 23rd ABIAUTO (Brazilian Association of Automobile Publishers) competition.
In Chile, according to the data released by ANAC (Asociació n Nacional Autoriz de Chile A.G.), Chery’s sales increased by 216% year on year in November, surpassing Toyota, Hyundai, Volkswagen and other brands, and its market share reached 7%, ranking third among all automobile brands. The cumulative sales from January to November increased by 305% year on year. In the SUV market segment, Tiggo 2 series continues to rank first in sales.
In Ecuador, according to the data released by AEADE (Asociación de Empresas Automotrices del Ecuador), Chery’s cumulative sales from January to November ranked first among Chinese automobile brands, with a year-on-year increase of 147%, surpassing Renault and Nissan. At the end of November this year, Chery held an offline conference, at which models such as Tiggo 7 Pro Deluxe Edition and Tiggo 2 Pro were launched, which attracted much attention of local consumers.
Up to now, Chery Group has 9.9 million global users, including more than 1.9 million users outside of China, ranking first in the export of Chinese brand passenger cars for 18 consecutive years, and becoming the “Chinese Business Card” favored by car owners in more than 80 countries and regions around the world. In the future, Chery will step into a new stage of high-quality development with a more steady “going up” pace.
